To Cameron and back

Yesterday at YJ's, I saw Tim there. Tim used to DJ on KKFI's "the Axeman's Jazz," which later turned into "the Country Jesus and Hillbilly Blues show." He was telling me about an anitique mall in the River Quay. So today when I got up, I did so with the intention of leaving early and going to the Quay, and checking out that mall. I couldn't find it. My alterior plan was to go by that house on Fontana, and give it a look see. I did so and found wood rot so bad, that it would be too much of an investment of time and money on our part. I don't understand how a house can be that neglected. It was close to this architectural wonder though. Well, while there, I got in touch with our buyers agent, Jania on the phone. She guided me to several other houses. We are very interested in this house we looked at in November, though.....

Then, after seeing some houses I wasn't too excited about, Jania guided me to this one..... This looks like a late mid-century modern design -- it was built in 1970, long after this style of house fell out of vogue.... We are going to look at it on Thursday.

Today I worked with Lori. We went up to Cameron on a sad story about the 8 year old girl who drowned in a pond trying to rescue another 8 year old. We drove up and interviewed the Principal of the elementary shool. Then we went out on a futile attempt to talk to the family. We ended up on some really rural country roads.

We ended up driving on C Hyway looking for the farm where the 8 year old girl drowned in a pond.

We then went out to St. Joseph to get a tape of the attempted rescue of the little girl shot by a stringer. We went to KQ2, and I got the grand tour. It brought back memories of working at WAND in Decatur. We ate at Wendy's tonight, then came back. We went live from Children's Mercy, where the boy the little girl was trying to rescue is in critical condition.
