Ken and I set out on a day trip to Lawrence. It was rainy but not as cool this day. I wanted to take Ken to Vagabond Bookman first, but the guy was closing up as we arrived late at 5. I had to do some errands in Kansas City. We spent the early evening walking around Massachusetts street. Ken actually did some shopping for a record at Love Garden and a bumper sticker at Third Planet. I decided to take pictures of Tima standing in doorways. We et ice cream at Sylas and Maddies, and we walked across the Kaw river which is way up, to the train station. After waiting a while, I got some stills of an east bound coal train. We walked back to Betsy, then headed to pick Suyen up at her work.

We took Debbie to Taquiria Mexico for her 48th birthday. Suyen, Debbie and Matthew then went to AMC theater in the P&L district to watch Iron Man. I went to Jazz at YJ's. I drew some sketches. It felt liberating. Debbie told us she could not make it to Florida in June.

02:00 -- Zzzz -- rumbles of thunder in the wee moaning hours. Brought Tima into our room, she is scared of the boom booms.
10:30 -- up -- woiked on the puter. It is cloudy and cool tiddy. All the weather bunnies are calling for severe ratings weather. We et panicks and eggs and turkey. I'm updating pix and blogs.

We shot a sot with the new KCMO school board president. Then we shot a story on a tombstone found in a vacant lot. We were then dispatched to Edgerton on an oil tank explosion. I streamed on the way down.
We came back and edited. I picked up Suyen at woik as a derecho came in.
