Heavy flooding storms came through, ended up stormchasing somewhat with DDU
Suyen is sick
Our cat, Dusty, who had been missing for 6 days and was feared dead showed up at about 17:00 today
Today turned into an impromtu chase day at work. We were in and documented the worst of the flooding at 103rd and State line and Wornall. During the chase, I noticed convergence on radar of a tvs marker and a meso marker which were going to cross in Cass County. We also saw what looked like a huge dirt dragging wall cloud. I even told my reporter that I thought Cass county was going to get hit. I didn't find out until I read the NWS summary a day later that I was right. A tornado did hit Cass County!

Debbie, Matthew, Tima and I went to Celebration at the Station. We enjoyed it. Suyen wanted to make it but she was on call and working. Ken made it too, but he never linked up with us and he left early. We got spectacular pix and vid of the event. Debbie took most of the pictures with our camera.

We were fueling up on our way to our lives in Gardner, when we saw this crazy situation develop across the street from the Quick Trip. We caught it on the dash cam, which I left running while getting gas.

Day Off
Suyen and I got up and finally got our MyFi taken care of at the main Sprint store in the Power and Light district. They finally replaced the device which fixed the problem. Suyen and I then got to enjoy food at our favorite restaurant... Vietnam Cafe. I took Suyen to woik, and I ran errands. I went to Surplus Exchange, then I went in search of a drum carrier for a portable laptop desk I want to build for streaming. I gave up on that idea for now, and went to YJ's, then for a walk. I walked with Tima first to Midwest music to see if they have a drum carrier, then downtown. There was some big country concert at the Sprint arena -- they had two streets blocked off. Tima and I finished our walk and went back to YJ's. Ken came by on his way to work, then I went and picked Suyen up and we headed homo.
