I think that with the Railroad making it impossible to operate safely, the employees fear that if some foamer shoots video of them doing something wrong and putting it on youtube then they might get fired, as people are getting fired for any reason at all at the drop of a hat as a cost cutting measure. I think the managers, fearing bad publicity for the railroad, are telling their employees to report any "suspicious" activity. I think everyone and his brother and or sister should go grab their video cameras and stand by the side of Unlce Pete's rails. Or wait....are we all just fucked no matter what? Influx Control is the Art of The State: Control peoples movements, control the movement of goods and supplies, and you've got an entire population by the balls. The only "positive" worry I could see the train employees having is that maybe they thought they were preventing a "Suicide By Train"...... ...But I doubt it. Homeland Security has everyone all paranoid. OR....perhaps that train was carrying something "Sensitive"? ----------------- Bulletin Message ----------------- From: Stevo Date: Jul 18, 2008 9:46 PM http://opensecrets. org/orgs/summary. php?id=D000000118
Union Pacific Corp
Union Pacific runs the largest railroad in North America and exercises by far the most political influence in the railroad industry, particularly within the Republican party. Vice President Dick Cheney served on the company’s board prior to the 2000 elections. Union Pacific also was one of the major underwriters of a record-breaking $33 million GOP fund-raiser in May 2002. The company ran into big trouble after its 1996 merger with rival Southern Pacific when prolonged service woes cost the U.S. economy an estimated $4 billion. The railroad opposed resulting proposals for increased federal regulation of the industry. Union Pacific was part of the Tax Relief Coalition, a group of companies supporting President Bush’s call for corporate tax breaks.
