Ok, so I talked to somebody who is in the know about Union Pacific. I told him of my experiences of having the cops called on me by Uncle Pete's train crews while I was taking pictures of their trains. He told me that since 911 and all the homeland security stuff, the supervisors of Union Pacific have told all the train crews to call in any person they see taking pictures near the tracks. My source told me that actually, if the crews don't call in, they can face serious trouble. It is kinda interesting? I wonder if this is true of all railroads, or if it is only Uncle Pete. I'm thinking of placing a call to the railroad press.
