www.fox4kc.com/wdaf-pernice-grandchildren-petition-032309,0,3152816.story

00 to 02:00 -- teevee, puter
00 to 09:30 -- Zzzzz
30 to 11:00 -- Home
00 to 12:30 -- We drove to Olathe to Mission Repair to see about our desktop. They do not do desktops, only laptops and ipods. So we were referred to a place called IresQ. We were charged $24.00 for the diagnosis, and were told we would hear from them either in the afternoon or Tuesday. We then went up to an apple place up in the River Quay. I looked at used macs.
30 to 13:30 -- We et at Bo-Lings in the Farmers Market.
30 to 14:00 -- we went to YJ's for coffee
00 to 14:30 -- I took Suyen to work, I went to work.
30 to 15:00 -- I loaded the car. I loaded all my stuff into unit 13 and got it ready to go. I'm with Paul today.
00 to 17:30 -- I waited on Paul to make calls on our story
30 to 20:15 -- We were sent down 69 and 167th to check on a tree across the highway. We used Justin.tv to stream. We saw nothing. We ate at Boston Market. We were to go knock on Shon Pernice's door as his in-laws were petitioning having the children removed from the home. No one answered. We looked for his mothers apartment. We headed back. 20:15 to 22:15 -- I edited two vo's for Paul. I watched the weather situation.
15 to 23:30 -- I unloaded. I went to the wx center with Mike. He is streaming live. Overall today was a good test run for our stuff. I streamed a little using Justin.tv. In general it is fairly easy to get someone in the shotgun seat to use the controls on Justin.tv. When I use Weathertap.com with the spotter network and storm reports features turned on, it gives us accurate positions and descriptions of storm damage. When this happens we can drive to the area and instantaneously stream video back while the reporter does a telephone report. We can shoot video, conduct interviews, and go on to the next spot. Live truck use during these types of situations is often prohibitive because of lightening and high winds and also live trucks can impede news gathering efforts at the reporter and photographer would be tied up with a live truck which can be many miles out of position from the actual scene. I might need to try an evdo antenna and amplifier to improve transmission and cell phone reception.
30 to 00:00 -- I got Suyen at her work and we headed home.
