half month gap

Ok, first off, my phone died on Friday 13th. Unfortunately I didn't have my data backed up so I lost everything from September 29 to October 13. Some of the things that happened were, we had the red house inspecte on the 7th. We found a few items we wanted fixed. However somebody on the other side decided to play hardball with us and they said they wouldn't fix anything, so we walked away from the deal. They tried to renegotiate and give us everything we wanted, but we decided that they spoiled the deal and we have decided against buying a house. We will buy some property instead for our trailer and move our trailer to the property. It is baseball playoff season, which means that we do not have full newscasts most nights. Also, I spend a lot of overtime waiting for a playoff game. Buck O'Neil died last Friday, and all this week have been memorials and his funeral. Buck was a great man and a great example. He will be missed.

We plan on using the space as a video art gallery and office.

THE VIDEO ART GALLERY

We plan on displaying ausio visual art pieces, documentaries, local films and other related materials using video monitors. People will be able to walk in the space and view abou 3 to 5 works which will be played on loops off of digital video disc players or video cassette recorders. This small space would be ideal for this type of display as it has very low overhead expenses and a very intimate small lounge feel can be created by the careful placement of one (1) sofa and a small computer workstation. This type of gallery is very exciting because the general public can come in, view the art and can easily afford to purchase the art in the form of digital video discs or video cassette recordings of the work.

THE OFFICE

The space will be staffed by myself, Stephen R. Silvestri, and my wife, Anasuya P. Silvestri. We will be there mainly when we are not working our regular full time jobs. We will have a computer set up at a small workstation that will be used by myself (Steve) to work on video side projects, and by my wife (Suyen) to do her work for the Midwest Transplant Network. We will also be there at many odd hours day and night as both our regular jobs have us doing on-call work. This has an advantage for our neighbors as we can act as impromtu security for the area. Some of the other projects will include an online video magazine which features local art, music and events called "Svoboda," a video production facility, a place where local artists can use as a resource for their video projects, and a place where items placed in online auctions can be viewed.
