This trip has gone like a well oiled machine if that machine were a rusted out old Vega and it is well oiled because it uses more oil than gas.  We rushed yesterday only to realize I screwed up the itinerary.  First rule of the route is that if you take the route, throw out the itinerary.  Checking in and out of motels takes way too much time.  Last night we had to go 18 miles south of the route in Clarenden to find a decent room.  We would have stayed in Shamrock but all the rooms were booked due to a charity concert.  We missed seeing the Sand Hills Curiosity shop opened as we got there too late.
