Eastern Kansas Storm Chase

I stopped at the overpass for K-10 and Kill Creek Road in DeSoto, Kansas and observed the severe warned Thunder storm which was moving slowly southeast.  It was already gusting out sending a gust front south to Edgerton, Kansas.  I decided to turn south and get as far ahead of the leading edge of the storm as I could.

KC Bomb and Arson was called out to the Power and Light district on a suspicious party in a van.  There was a package found when they went to check out the van.  A robot was sent to take pictures of the van.  When it did, the owner showed up, and it turned out he was a cable company contractor on a job.  A bomb officer was sent in to check out the package, which turned out to be brochures for All-Star events.
