I tried to make up for what I didn't accomplish at the coffeehouse.  I make too much work for myself.  I worked on  my Youtube account making some videos private and others public.

After mowing and some yardwork, I took Tima to English Landing Park in Parkville, Missouri for our weekly walk.  I noticed on the radar heading out that a line of storms was building to the northwest.  There was a tornado watch out in Wisconsin and Severe Thunderstorm watch out in Minneasota and Iowa.  Not much was expected here.  However, the skies to the west were starting to darken.  Tima and I walked, and towards the end of our walk, I noticed building thunderstorms.  I checked the radar and saw that the line of storms had extended down to just west of us around Lawrence, Kansas.  We went to the coffeehouse and I watched, expecting nothing more than a pleasant summer thundershower.  I kept watching and noticed it was going severe, with very minmal rotation.  About 1900, we headed to a good vantage point in the riverbottoms north of the Argossy casino, just in time for a nice gust front moving in. It even kicked up a small gustnado right over top of me.  I kept scanning for other severe signs and possible rotation, but nothing much kicked up.  I headed into downtown KC in time for another cell to come through with torrential rain and some good wind.  I went to 31st and roanoke to get some stills and to possibly timelapse the flooding that always occurs there.  The cold front passed through making for a very pleasant cool evening.

I contacted James, but he has a date tonight.  One of the baristas seemed upset at the idea of Tima drinking out of a bowl that might be used for people.  It was rather odd.  I worked on blogging more on the 2nd day of route 66, but the internets were slow in there and that messed me up, to my frustration.  I had yogurt and granola and my usual soy cappacino with sugar free almond.
