20:30 -- living room
I've been busy lately so this is my first chance to post. I worked 10:30 to 18:30 today. I like this shift -- I hope I work it more -- especially on Wednesdays. Tomorrow is Suyens and my 4th anniversary. 4 years ago the temperatures were in the 80's and we had a better than expected wedding.

On Saturday, Kim and I did lives at the car show. We had problems with the switcher in van 1 so it was hard for us to even do look lives. We ran the tapes back. Then we shot a march which was a reaction to the latest gang violence in Kansas City. I ran my butt off as I usually do in these marches. Here is our Story.
Sunday Lori and I were to do a train show live, but miscommunication ended that. Daylight savings time was moved up 3 weeks early so I got less sleep last night. After the morning, Kim and I went to cover the burned body found by a dumpster west of KU med in KCKS. That story didn't air as Meagan covered what we did with updated info.
When I got homo I worked on the yard. I started raking the leaves which I think haven't been done in 3 years. When I did get it done I found there was no grass under the leaves. We had gone to Home Despot to get a hose and grass seed. I used the hose to wash off the steps. I found nice brick beneath the layers of dirt and leaves.

On Moanday I was on vo patrol

This is the view of Broadway downtown. I had vo patrol today so I had the rare chance to go home for dinner. The weather was so gorgeous that we sat out on the back deck and enjoyed.
When my shift was to end, I was sent to Edgerton on a report of a trench rescue.
I got called out on breaking news. There was a report of a trench rescue, so after my shift was to be over, I headed out into the night into rural Johson county. This is Edgerton, Kansas at night.
had to rush to find a bathroom, so I stopped in Gardner, Kansas.
On Sunflower Road north of Edgerton, I was hit by a deer. I saw the first one and slowed down for it, but as I thought where there is one, there is always another, I looked up in time to see a wide eyed bambi for a split second before KAWHAAMMM!!! Both doors on my news unit were damaged, but I was lucky, I could have been hurt if that doe went through my window.
I went about twenty feet down the road and turned around in enough time to see the doe hobble to it's feet and take off.
This is Sunflower road about where I was hit. It was a dark and narrow two lane gravel road.
Tuesday Lori and I covered the press conference held by Mayor Kay Barnes and AEG on the Penguins staying in Pittsburg. We got some mos' which were never used. One of them was with my friend Drew, who writes a blog for an online magazine.

I had a soup and sandwhich lunch at YJ's today with a mocha and slice of lemon cake.
Wednesday began with a Shauntay Henderson sighting. However it turned out to be a dark skinned lady who had a closed shaved head. She was really upset when the police busted into her hotel room. Later on Wednesday I worked with Phil on a "Reaching for Excellence" story. We went to Liberty High School. I put my camera on the bench for some vignetting problem.
