Today CWI and I were live at the Sheffield Family Life Center, a large evangelical congregation on Kansas City's Northeast Side close to the ARMCO Sheffield Steel plant that has become the center of controversy in this presidential election cycle.

I worked an hour extra editing the pkg.
Suyen was going to meet me at church. I had about an hour and a half to kill, so I went to Westport Coffee House to get some of my journal done. I met James, Lori and James' dad there. We got into a conversation about among other things the 2nd American Civil war and deconstructing this country as an exercise to understand how to better defend it. I mentioned Condoleeza Rice's cousin, Connie Rice and the work she did dealing with gangs as an insurgent group to be dealt with in the US.
I was wrong about where I saw her. I thought it was on the Daily Show, but apparently it was on Tavis Smiley where she talked about the gang problem in America being like an insurgency, and that if we don't deal with the issues that fuel the gang/drug problem, we probably will be fighting a full blown insurgency in this country in the next 20 years....

I got to church a little late as I kept droning on about these topics I found intriguing which, as always, was probably pretty rude of me. After church, Suyen said that Ate Adela and Kuya Mike wanted to talk about us possibly doing the Sinag Tala and September Affair around September 21 and 22. Later Suyen said she wants to decline doing this as she will be working that whole weekend and it would be too stressful for her. I am disappointed but I understand. I would like to try to get the business operating, but not at the expense of our health and sanity and also not at the risk of doing poor quality work.

We retired fairly early. I need to mow the grass as it is gettting tall and the weather is expected to be in the mid to high 90's throughout the week, but I was so tired I just fell asleep on the couch in front of the teevee. Suyen fixed catfish and hotdogs for din din, which we ate late, about 21:30. I then got around enough to update my journal and get pix and stuff uploaded.
