I've been sleeping all day. We just got back from Leyte this morning at 04:00. I'm feeling lousy of course as I always do when I come here. I've had a low grade fever due to a cold. Yesterday we drove all day all over Leyte. Bouncing all over the roads with minimal sleep didn't help my cause. Visiting the Macarthur landing site was anti-climatic -- but it was the journey really, as always the made the trip. I wish I could've enjoyed it more.

Macarthur is a real hero to people of my Mother-in Law's generation, because he made a promise, and kept it.
