Soo busy I haven't had time to blooggg.

Lesseeee -- Thursday 15 March was our anniversary. I bought Suyen a card and after she had a hard day at woik, I took her to Strouds
, which is at about I-35 and Vivion in the Northland.

Friday 16 March I had a day off. I went to the Mother of all Wal*Farts to get some garden stuff. Man that Shiites expensive. I did other shopping but didn't get much of anything. After Suyen got off woik, we went to the Nebraska Furriture Mart sale.

Saturday 17 March was St. Patricks Day -- otherwise known as the Amatuer hour for most of the bozo's who show up to drink and be assahaulics. Kim and I covered the Irish brekkus
at Browne's

, which has been a small Irish grocery in the same spot for over a hundred years.

Suyen and I went to visit Browne's for a dinner of corned beef and cabbage. I got this picture of Browne's when we were leaving. Okay, now, corned beef, cabbage and for many people -- alcohol -- not a good combination.

Afterward, I begged and pleaded to go to the Severe weather seminar in Lawrence Kansas. I was hoping to get some training to bring back to the station as well as get some video of the event. I got some training in the little time I was alloted to be there. I had to rush out to the Parade in Lawrence to try to catch the CEO of Ford who donated a 15 passenger van to his mothers senior center. I got yelled at by a parade official for being in the assembly area, so i didn't get to try to interview the CEO. I got vid of the beginning of the parade instead. In the evening Suyen and I went to Nebraska Furriture mart again. This time we got a sectional, two small red chairs, a lift top coffee table and two small ottomans for the chairs. Our living room should be fairly complete.

Sunday I did the early thing again with Kim. We went to an empty intersection to talk about the checkpoints from the night before. Then we were to do a live at a board game convention, but nobody showed up. We went to Centennial Church's 100th anniversary. It was a very uplifting event, buuuuttttt, we had to go on what turned out to be another fake Shauntay
chase at 28th and Park. I ended up working an extra 4 hours. Then another half hour because a tape that Mike and Megan needed was no where to be found, so I had to run my car back to check to see if I had it ass idently. It turns out I didn't. Debbie, Megan, Michael and Mathew came over for dinner.

Today, Moanday, I was finally able to plant the lavender and elephant ears as well as start trying to get the ground ready for grass seed. Tomorrow I will be early for George Bush's visit. Today Tess and I went to Chillicothe, which is a long honkin' way up there. The humane society
is facing a budget cut because the city went for a breed specific ban which means they cannot take in stray animals anymore as the budget is all going to enforcement. We went and came back and cut two vo'sots for the 9 & 10. I started batching the problem solver I helped shoot with Shelly.

President Bush came to Kansas City today to visit the GM Fairfax plant and the Ford Claycomo plant. He was talking about the Hybrid cars that are supposed to help ease the US' dependence on foreign oil. What that meant to me was I came in to work 09:30 to 17:30. It was an interesting experience.

OKAY, now here's pictures John took with his camera....

Note how the tripod legs are spread. I never leave a camera on a tripod unattended unless I know that the camera and pod are not going anywhere. There was a chance that they might want to take bumpback liveshots from my camera, so I left it in this configuration so that they had a shot at all times.

Here is my activity from Wednesday morning...

Wednesday 21 March 2007, originally uploaded by studestevo.

I was on vo patrol today. One of my assignments was this small basement fire in Merriam. No one was home when it happened, but a cat died in the fire unfortunately.

Wednesday was fairly uneventful. I did vo patrol. I was sent on several leads that didn't pan out. I had dinner at home and the weather was great. It was a nice spring day. The weather was a little spooky though as the temp felt warm but when the wind blew I got goosebumps. Suyen told me the dog was acting funny, so I joked about the Doggy Barometer. The last time Tima acted funny was in August when we had the severe weather. Maybe Tima just doesn't like rain. In the evening I ended up chasing after two fires which didn't pan out to be much -- one was a dishwasher fire at Aquila in Raytown and the other was a garage fire started by some kids at 109th in KCMO. Suyen is on call this evening, so when I went home, I knew we had to go back out early in the morning. Storms are developing up north.

It is raining. It has been raining all day. I went on a storm chase this morning. I started out at about 03:00. I took Suyen to work at MTN as she was on call last night. We have a stationary front in the area with lots of moisture coming up from the gulf. The storms were not expected to do much, but I vigilantly went after it anyway just in case. I didn't catch much, just a lot of rain and lightning. I reported what I was seeing to Don. Storms went severe according to NWS radar west of Lawrence. I caught up to that storm in Desoto. I saw lots of lightning, heavy rain and no hail. I followed that in to Suyens work. By the time I got back to the city, the storms tapered off. I watched the intersection of 31st and Southwest trafficway as it tends to flood. There was not enough rain for that. I went back to MTN, and fell asleep waiting for Suyen. She got done about 09:00, and we headed homo. Bed was calling my name pretty hard. Suyen rousted me out of bed about 14:30. She fixed good chicken soup. Our goal for the day was to get our taxes done. On the way to work, I and John demonstrated something for woik. Suyen and I went to H & R Block. We are getting money back from the feds this year -- WOO HOO!!!! Getting our taxes done cost us $160.00, but it was well worth it. We checked out some of the stores in the strip mall at 64th and North Oak. Then we headed homo. Afterward we took Tima for a walk in the Plahzuh. Then we went to YJ's for dinner. Heather is a great cook.

Suyen and I wrapped up our evening by going to YJ's Snack Cafe at 18th and Wyandotte in KCMO for dinner.

23:25 -- bedroom

On Friday I had the day off. I went to the Grass Pad to get peat moss to put on the grass seed to protect it. I then went to Larry's in Riverside to get flowers, but they don't take debt cards. I went to Sears and got a garage opener control for Suyen and an extra remote for me. I installed Suyens controller. The stuff was quite expensive. Suyen came home and we hung out around the house. I put peat moss on the area I seeded for grass.
