A Grey Day

This is the sad story Rob and I ended up on. They didn't upload the video at the station, so you'll have to settle for a synopsis.

I am proud though that I toughed it out with the Avid and edited my first package on the thing. It is good that we didn't have a liveshot.

I went and did a beat check at my favorite beat hangout. To my surprise they were playing jazz there. I guess they've been doing it all along, I've just never been here when they have.... I got out my GL-2 and shot it. I will edit it together as Iris is putting together a YJ's myspace page. I haven't got the link yet. She was asking me about some of my videos so she could link to them. I was inspired tonight to give her more material... Until I get it uploaded, here's some flickr.com stills....

This is the weekly Sunday night Jazz Jam.

Also, today Rob and I first checked out doing a story on a KCK duplex where an intruder was beat to death by the owner. However, next door was this neat example of googie architecture.....

Kansas City Kansas has some surprising googie -- Sunday 17 December 2006, originally uploaded by studestevo.

While out on a story we found these apartments on Leavenworth road. There are about 4 or 5 of these buildings in a cluster and they are circular.

Hope tomorrow is a better day....
