Tuesday Breakdown

Ok, so the car I drive at work, which I have named the cherrybomb, broke down on us. It happened in the driveway of the person we were interviewing for a story. His name is Alonzo Washington. Perhaps you know the name. He is the creator of Omega Man. Alonzo is also known for solving the "Precious Doe" case when the Kansas City Missouri Police screwed it up. While broken down in Alonzo's driveway, we had a chance to talk. I suggested to him that to combat the "stop snitching" campaign maybe the phrase "tool" should be employed. I went to dictionary dot com to get this definition of tool -- a person manipulated by another for the latter's own ends. Perhaps we can take the "stop snitching" logo, and turn it around, like "stop being a tool." Why? Well, the way I see things, the plight of any oppressed minority group is primarily economic. If you seek to create true equality in any society, you must create economic prosparity among all groups. If you are seeking to create a divide among groups, take one group and permanently create an underclass out of that group. There are many exploitative reasons why this is done in a society. For one thing, if you create fear in a society, then you create a permanent need and a market. It is also known that one of the main ways in which a majority group succeeds in opressing a minority group is by allowing a class of people within that group who oppress members of their own group. These are the people that I refer to as "tools." The ideal is that when people will come to black communities to do business, to shop and to empower blacks to build up their own communities and lives without fear, then you will truely see equality in America. However, the very people who seem hell bent to stop this from happening, are people within the black community who seem to be determined to live out every racist stereotype and to be the lackies and tools of not only the most die hard white supremicists in this country, but also of cheap politicians, crooked police, greedy businessmen and every person who seeks to exploit and enslave the black community. So, in my opinion, those who keep their silence as members of their community are being murdered, are fools... they are "tools." So, if you don't want to talk to the police, or anyone of authority, talk to at least someone. Don't be a tool.

Here is my idea of an alternative take on the Stop Snitching Campaign.
