Bob and I headed to Crown Center for the Pumpkin patch. We did look lives and ran them back to the station because of the lightning. After we shot them we came back to decide what we are to do.
We headed to do Christmas in October. We shot it, logged and edited. I put van 2 up. I worked 1/2 hour extra to edit it in avid 2.

Up. Shook a tower. Suyen fixed brekkus. We et. Sam called. He said the schedule had been changed on the 8th that I was supposed to be in 8 to 4. I headed in.
I got gas at QT. I went HBO. I talked to Sam. I was to do the train show and the Indian event at the old Shawnee Indian Mission. I headed to Union station and shot enough for a nats package on the train show.

Pat called me off the dog story --- turned out the dog was alright and it wasn't as good as it sounded. So I was to go to the Haunted hayride east of Raytown on 350. I headed there and started looking for it. Couldn't find it at first. It was beyond the soccer fields. However. I did see this nuclear bunker shelter. These were built to be evacuation shelters in case of nuclear war. I'm not shure how big they are underground. They have prettty much been decommmisioned. I don't know if they are for sale or if they have been mothballed in case they are needed for a future emergency. You see them all over the KC area.

Or who knows. They may not even go underground, they might be glorified sheds. My impression is that they are civil defense. But, however, maybe they are county pump houses or flood control. Maybe somebody who see's these pictures can tell me. I know in the 1980's, there was a big sell off of civil defense stuff. I remember my dad buying some of that stuff at auction and that we ate some of the crackers that were put in storage in the 50's. I also remember some gas masks and stuff like that in the pallet that my dad got. He was just after the barrels that the stuff came in and bought the pallets for something like a dollar a piece.
I found the hayride after some looking and asking directions. I actually rode with them to get some shots. Jeff from Channel 9 was there helping them with photographs. It was a free hay ride for children with autism and their families. It was fun and a good event.
After the hayride, I went to get some vittles at QT. I was hungry. Then I was assigned to go to 119th and Nall to the Jewish community Center to get vo of the Jewish Arts Festival. It was a long drive all the way across town, and I was tired when I got there. There was no media parking so I had to park in the parking garage and find my way in. I got some vo and started heading back.

We went to Argentine Middle School. We got some vid and interviewed a coach about Kansas students not being fit. Then we were called off that story to go to do a story about a new law that makes repeat drunk offenders have longer prison sentences.
We drove to Platte City to go to the Platte County court house to talk to the county prosecutor Eric Zahnd.

We went to Platte City to talk to the County Prosecutor. There are some modern updates done to these old victorian buildings. This is a case where I think the modern detracts from the original design and beauty of the structures.

We headed out to Olathe to the courthouse where Phil Kline, the Johnson County, Kansas prosecutor just realeased charges against Planned Parenthood. We went in and Dave talked to Klines PIO. We were heading back hbo, when we were told of a protest going on at Planned Parenthood by Ashley. So we headed there. We got vid there of an unlrelated abortion protest. Then we headed back hbo.

I saw Michelle last night. She is very excited and about talked my ear off about the little girl ghost and the ghost of a guy who used to live upstairs. We are scheduled from 01:00 to 04:00.
