11:00 to 12:00 -- We headed back to Belton. Shot the poker run for Kara Kopetsky.

18:30 to 21:00 -- Suyen did her thing at MTN. We then went to YJ's. I had iced soy chi. We then went to price slopper for some groceries.

5:30 to 06:00 -- Woik. Loaded van 2. I had to put gas in it at QT. Got vittles. Headed out to 147th and Metcalf with Lori at 06:15. Bad fatality assident, apparently drag racing was involved.
7:00 to 08:45 -- Live at top of 7. Tease at 7:27 and live at 7:31. Live top of 8, tease 08:27, Live at 08:30. Tore down after lives. Live
8:45 to 10:30 -- We went to the sports complex way out west on Johnson Drive to shoot future prospects for college basketball.
10:30 to 11:00 -- Headed back to the station. I dropped Lori and the tapes off.
11:00 to 12:00 -- I shot the miniature horse show at Hale Arena.
12:00 to 12:45 -- Lunch at Poco's. I had pork chops with salsa and a bowl of fruit.
12:45 to 13:00 -- Gas at QT
13:00 to 13:30 -- Back at the station. I unloaded and checked my mail.

13:54 to 15:24 -- Homo. I cut the grass and weedeated.
15:24 to 16:50 -- I took a cooooooold shower. Got dressed. Suyen headed to choich. I had to wait for parents to come to help me light the pilot light of the water heater.
16:50 to 17:30 -- Mom and Dad came to hep me on the hot water heater. We had kawfee (I had tea). They left.

15:30 to 18:30 -- Bad Pool steakout. We knocked on the guys door. Then we waited. While we waited I uploaded the touristing Dallas/Fort Worth video.

The guy showed up as we were about to leave. Looks like we solved the problem.
18:30 to 19:00 -- We headed back to the station. We stopped at QT on the way.
19:00 to 22:30 -- I set up the liveshot at cam 9 at the puter there. I started editing Nancy's pkg. I struggled with slomo and ps gfx. The live was at a thermostat. We did our live at 21:30. I finished editing sans the graphic and blurred license.

23:59 -- Shaturday Lori and I went to the Dana Rose farm for a kids run. Then we were sent to a shooting. Jason shot most of the vid. I shot Lori's standup and other vid from the block over. Here is the Story....

The day was frustrating as the phone rang off the hook. I shot enough video for a package on the kids run, and on the vo/sot I was sent on later involving the shooting that took two lives about a year ago on 83rd and Wornall. I was to shoot a vigil. Then I was sent to a vo at a bank robbery at 103rd and Holmes. After all that Paul was unhappy that I wouldn't answer the phone while I was driving the live truck.

I headed homo. Then Suyen and I went to Atchison for a gathering of filipino medtechs. During the gathering, I took the opportunity to go to town to see the goings on during the Amelia Earhart days -- which is a big event.

I went to get a train, but Suyen called me back before I could go. I looked at the sad victim of urban renewal that is downtown Atchison. I came back and et delicious filipino food at the party. I was very unsociable as I was very tard. I watched the games that they played at the party.

Suyen and I went to the old depot to shoot the train that I couldn't get earlier.

Then we watched the fireworks from the railway museum.

Suyen and I faced the traffic out of Atchison and headed homo.

Sonday I woiked 10 to 6 with Bob. We shot a story about the carjackings in Overland Park....

13:30 to 14:00 -- Et at Poco's. I had pork chops with spicy salsa and 3 eggs over easy with a plate of mixed fruit and iced tea. Mary served me. She was really nice.
14:00 to 14:15 -- Back at the station. I batched the video in Avid bay 3 and loaded van 2. Put gas in at Quick Trip.
15:00 to 15:05 -- Edited the story in Avid bay 3.
16:00 to 16:05 -- We went to the liveshot location at 87th and Antioch. Live from the OP police station there. The day went pretty smooth until the video gods cursed us during our liveshot. A bad video end on the cable reel screwed us up. So our live for the 9 didn't happen. It was a struggle to get the live on for the 10.

16:00 to 16:15 -- We shot vid at Turkey Creek. We went to Rosedale to get standups and teases and some vid
16:15 to 16:45 -- We went to YJ's to get kawfeee
16:45 to 17:30 -- We went to KCK City hall to talk to somebody about KCK's position before a budget meeting began
17:00 to 17:30 -- headed back to the station
17:45 to 20:15 -- at station. I edited the package in Avid bay 3. We loaded van 4 and headed out back to Rosedale.
21:00 to 22:15 -- Rosedale to do our lives. A bad video connector on the cable reel sabotaged our 9 live. I spent a lot of time trying to get the cables to work between liveshots. We finally got it on in the 10.

10:30 to 13:00 -- Went Railfanning. I first went to the area around Rock Creek in Independence, but had no luck and the neighborhoods were too rough to hang out in. I then went to sheffield Junction then the area west of Neff Yard. I caught some locotrol footage.

13:00 to 13:30 -- I went to Surplus Exchange
13:30 to 15:00 -- I went to a laptop refurbishing place in the west bottoms. I got 2g of memory for both laptops, 1g for the titanium and 1g for the 12" ibook for $80.00.
15:00 to 16:15 -- YJ's Snack Cafe. I had chi and a cookie.
16:15 to 17:30 -- I went to get Suyen at MTN. We started to head back homo to take Tima back, but the traffic was so atrocious that we had to turn arount and go back to YJ's.

breakingWind'sday I worked with Dave. We went to the zoo because some teenagers went into the hippo area and threw rocks at the hippos. We got that all shot and were sent out on breaking news...

Turdsday I got up oily and went to the trailer to cut the grass.

It was cloudy and cooler today so it wasn't so bad. I got a lot of my racks and my extra rcu so I can begin to assemble my stuff so that I can get the basement cleaned out. I went by cargo lardass and didn't see anything. Suyen and I went to Taj Palace for lunch. The owner is nice as always.

Then I went to Surplus Exchange and then to Micro Center. I got 512 megs of memory for the G5. It cost $47.00. Then I headed home to woik on the desktop. It still won't do final cut, but I got it to do imovie. I started working downstairs on the video stuff. Debbie showed up with her new car -- a 2007 Pontiac G5. We then all went to Tanners for steak night. Then we went to Targay so I could get wood screws for the rubber switcher rack. Then we came home and I put together the rack. I fixed drinks on the espresso machine for everyone. Debbie and Mathew headed home at 23:00.

I'm sitting here outside with Tima. Suyen is insisting we go see a movie, so I'm waiting here for her and getting some things done on the puters. I found that I can access the internet via the airport cards in the puters. The one I'm typing on now is sending the wifi from the aircard through the airport card and the titanium is recieving it. It sounds rediculous but I'm sitting here with two laptops going. The titanium is rendering video and uploading to Youtube, while this one is free to do other things, such as blogging. The weather has been cloudy and rainy yestiddy, and is now warm and humid tiddy. I've got my two racks combobulated and it seems that my idea is working out. I've now moved them into the utility room/control room, and the rest of the basement will be used as the studio. I've now got to pick up all the other junk and get it sorted so that I can find everything. The rubber switcher rack is my studio in a box. I can run any 4 cameras off of that. Then if I need a more elaborate setup, I can take both racks with the rubber switcher rack feeding into the Sony rack with the rubber switcher being the genlock source running into input one. I haven't tested it that far yet. I've also bought another wvf250b off of ebay. It is probably another non-working camera, but I got this one for a lot less. Maybe between the two cameras, when I get this other one, there will be enough working parts to make one working camera. I eventually hope to get two good working wf-250b's.

This is the picture I just took of the camera in my basement which I bought on ebay from sobrboy86. It is the same as the one he now lists as selling on ebay. The scuffs and scratches are the same. In other words, it is the same item. Only the item pictured on ebay, which I bid on, is in one piece. The item I recieved is broken. It clearly has been dropped hard causing not only the break, but also the internal problems with the camera. Since it was packed very well, and the packing was undisturbed, I can only assume that the break was not done by the shipper -- the US Postal Service.

If you look at the serial number, it matches the one on the camera I bought from sobrboy86 which is now in my basement. He is clearly not truthfully representing what unsuspecting people are bidding on.

Ebay scam artists

This is the page listing a camera that sobrboy86 is trying to sell on ebay. If you look at the photos, especially the serial number, you will find it matches the one that I now have in my basement -- sold to me by sobrboy86. So, is sobrboy86 trying to sell the exact same camera, or did he take one picture of one camera, and is now representing it as the one he is trying to sell? Now the one in my basement is broken. It was shipped to me that way. I bid on the one in the picture. The picture does not show it broken. If I had known it was broken -- obviously dropped really hard, then I would have not bid or bid lower.

It was very well packed, so I don't think it was broken by the post office. It also doesn't work. It powers up but it doesn't send anything but garbage. I beleive it was dropped hard, and that caused this break you see here, and also caused the internal malfunction.

I hate ebay scams. Ebay doesn't seem to care too much about it. There is no good way to report problems such as this.

Oh the titanium G4 came in Windsday. I started working to replace the screen with the one I have from my old G4 before work. I struggled with it -- mostly the logic board on the new machine was in the way of the connectors. I had to go to work with computer guts spread out all over my kitchen bar. After work I came home and worked on it. Miraculously I did it -- I got it working. It needs some upgrades in memory and the damn seller left it password protected so I can't hardly do anything with what is on the hard drive. People suck. They advertise all these great things on ebay to get people to up their bid, then they don't deliver. That camera I got was broken and it doesn't work -- the picture doesn't show it broken. I was going to give the seller a bad rating for that and try to get my money back through paypal because the picture he sent doesn't match the reality. When I thought he was trying to sell me a better camera though, I went ahead and gave him a good rating. But then, i figured out it wasn't him -- it was a scam. You know, ebay kind of sucks for the shenanigans people pull on it.

So I'm glad the computer at least works. I am going to try to put the 80gb drive in it. At least I know that will work. It only has a 20gb.

22:07 -- GREAT NEWS! I got my video mixer out of the shop and it works! YAY! Turdsday I mowed the yard. Frieday I did some more woik around the yard. Suyen and I went and did some shopping. We went to Lawrence Turdsday. She was shopping for a puter bag and she had to exchange her shoes in Warrensburgs shoes. We went to the Bourgeois Pig and met up with boB and his sister. The G-4 woiks well. I even edited video with it. If you get the clock set, everything woiks alright. We went to Union Station on Turdsday and got our Amtrak tickets -- WOO HOO!!! So on Frieday I did a lot of woik around the haus, and Suyen did her bookeeping and yelling at me. So we got my mixer, then we went and got her a bag for her woik puter. We et at BB's Lawnside bbq. We came homo and I put my little video mixer box together.
